-"Portrait Me"

Portrait Me

Portrait Me is a process of finding identification of own-self. It was inspired by an old Hong Kong quote, "horses continue to run and people continue to dance" during the transition of the sovereignty of Hong Kong from British government to Chinese government.

On stage, the dialog in the creation has set the tone of not being acknowledged nor accepted.

Contradiction, anger, frustration has been broken by the last dance with bit of humor. However, he was trapped again once more.

Created and performed by Ka Chun Hui
Original music by Ryuichi Sakamoto, James Brown

Sound arrangement by Ka Chun Hui

Has been performed in Hong Kong 2017, re-created and performed in Germany 2019
